NORTHWEST AUSTIN WRESTLING CLUB

Welcome to Austin's newest wrestling club, the Northwest Austin Wrestling Club (pronounced "Nawk"). We are a non-profit organization formed to teach and improve the wrestling skills for 5^th through 12^th graders who want to learn folkstyle wrestling. Our coaches will work with raw beginners through advanced high school wrestlers.

We are pleased to inform our members and prospective members of the Summer 2010 Anderson Trojan Wrestling Camp at Anderson High School. This four day camp, from Monday July 26 to Thursday July 29 will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm and is for incoming 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade boys and girls who are interested in learning the basics of the sport of high school wrestling. The club will start back up in the Fall. We generally meet Tuesday and Thursdays after school in the wrestling room at Anderson High School, and compete in tournaments several Saturdays a month in Austin and San Antonio. Our season will start in early November and end in mid February. 5^th through 8^th graders practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00pm. High schoolers practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30pm.

Club membership automatically includes membership in TXUSA Wrestling and enables wrestlers to compete in TXUSA sponsored tournaments. These optional tournaments are available for all Club wrestlers up to 15 years old.
